2026 Fishing Report

Tues. June 9th - 6am
Kasilof River - There were a tom of drift boats today and only saw one hook up from a boat.  Kings were a little slow from the bank, but the Sockeye fishing picked up throughout the morning. Had a moose cross the river and walk through our fishing area
Kenai River - We switched to the Kenai at about 10am and the Sockeye were much better. Water is rising very slowly and was a little cloudy.

Mon. June 8th - 6am
Kasilof River - Good river conditions remain with the water low and clear.  Clear for a glacier river. Crooked Creek water is clearing up along the banks.
Ninilchik River - Open for Hatchery Kings only. One and Done !
Kenai River - Sockeye continue to come in and fishing is getting better.

Sun. June 7th - 6am
Kasilof River -
Much better action today. Drift boats were doing better, but we still did better from the bank.

- Open for Hatchery King Salmon.

- A fair amount of boats on the river today. nothing for us, but did hear that  lower river was producing. 
Ninilchik River -
Opens again today for Hatchery Kings only. Water conditions have dropped a little and there are Kings int he river. 

Fri. June 5th - 6am
Kasilof River - Starting to see many more Sockeye flopping around and many Kings coming in the river. We managed to get one king today.

Thurs. June 4th - 6am
Kenai River - Some Sockeye in the river and low water.
Kasilof River - Water is still low and rising slowly.

Weds. June 3rd - 6am
Kasilof River -
We are seeing good river conditions and there are Kings and Sockeye in the river. 

Tues. June 2nd - 6am
Kasilof River -
King Salmon fishing has improved and there are Sockeye being caught.

Mon. June 1st - 6am
Ninilchik River -
Water conditions are good with the water dropping very slowly from the winter runoff. 

Sun. May 31st - 6am
Kasilof River
- Good river conditions as the water is rising very slowly. 
Ninilchik River
- Open for Hatchery Kings today. There has been good action and the river is in great shape. 

Sat. May 30th - 6am
Kasilof River -
Many more boats on the river and starting to see more Sockeye in the river.
Ninilchik River - 
Opens today for hatchery Kings only. single hook, no bait. Will be open on Sat. Sun. and Mon. for the next few weekends.

Fri. May 29th - 6am
Kasilof River - 
Good river conditions, the water is still very low and is pretty clear.

Thurs. May 28th - 6am 
Kasilof River -
Didn't see anything caught today, but heard of one Sockeye caught from a drift boat. 

Weds. May 27th - 6am
Kasilof River -
River conditions are about the same with low water and Crooked Creek water clearing up.  

Tues. May 26th - 6am
Kasilof River - 
There were more boats going down the river today. My client got his King Salmon today, Hatchery, but no Sockeye today as we did wee a few rolling at the surface.

Mon. May 25th - 6am
Kasilof River -
Kings are in the river and some Sockeye are showing up. 

Sun. May 2th - 6am
Kasilof River
- Ice has gone out and the water is still low. Kings Salmon are in and we got one King this morning. 

Sat. May 23rd - 6am
Kasilof River -
There have been reports of sockeye being caught and Kings are in the river.

Fri. May 22nd - 6am
Kasilof River
- Steelhead have moved out and not seeing many caught today.

Thurs. May 21st - 6am
Kasilof River -
More reports of a few Kings starting to be caught.

Weds. May 20th - 6am
Kasilof River -
Water is still low and Steelhead fishing has slowed down. 

Tues. May 19th - 6am
Kasilof River -
There are Kings starting to come in, but not much sign of Sockeye yet.

Mon. May 18th - 6am
Kasilof River -
River conditions remain about the same, with low water and the ice is just about gone along the banks.

Sun. May 17th - 6am
Kasilof River -
We should be seeing some Sockeye starting to show in bigger number. 

Sat. May 16th - 6am
Kasilof River -
King Salmon are starting to show up, we can keep only Hatchery Kings this year, one per day, one and done. 

Fri. May 15th - 6am
Kasilof River
- A few more boats on the river getting ready for the season. Not much change in river conditions.

Thurs. May 14th - 6am
Kasilof River
- Good reports of Steelhead fishing today. Some nice fish still in the river.

Weds. May 13th - 6am
Kasilof River
- River conditions are good with low water and clear for this time of year.

Tues. May 12th - 6am
Kasilof River

Steelhead have been slow so far this year. No sigh of any Kings Sockeye yet.

Mon. May 11th - 6am
Anchor River -
Closed until July 15th.
Deep Creek Closed until July 15th.
Kasilof River - Water is low with ice along the banks in some places. Steelhead were far and few between, nothing today.
