Anchor River - 
Steelhead fishing should pick up today and tomorrow as the water drops and clears.  It's just a little high, but clear enough to fish. Good

Anchor River - 
River continues to drop from the rain and is clearing up as well. Should be in better fishing condition by this afternoon and tomorrow.  Poor

Sat. Oct. 24th - 9am
Anchor River - 
Good morning with a few reports of Steelhead caught.  Rain last night made the river cloud up and come up an inch or two. The cloudy water showed up at about noon.  Poor

Anchor River - 
Great river conditions with the clear water and has dropped to a good level.  Steelhead fishing continues to be great and lots of nice Dolly's in the river.  Enjoy nice river conditions until it the next heavy rain. Great

An unreal beautiful day today with great Steelhead fishing this morning and into the early afternoon.  Good reports trough out the river, except lower river below the bridge, not many reports at all. Great

Anchor River - 
Great Steelhead fishing the last few days and no rain in sight until this weekend.  Water is clear and a little high.  Good+

Tue. Oct. 20th - 9am
Anchor River - 
The river is looking good with the water clearing, although still a little high from the last rain.  Good

Mon. Oct. 19th - 10am
Anchor River - 
River did come up about 6 inches over night and is still cloudy.  By later this afternoon we will see it clear up and drop slowly.  Steely's have been fishing well.  Good -

Sun. Oct. 18th - 12 noon
Anchor River -  
Little rain last night, but no sign of cloudy water until about 12 noon.  Steelhead fishing was good today with a few nice fish landed.  River went cloudy and came up about an inch, reaching mile marker 161 at about noon. Good

Sat. Oct. 17th - 12 noon
Anchor River - 
Excellent day on the river with several Steelhead caught, river conditions have been good and many good reports of multiple Steelhead.  Good

Fri. Oct. 16th - 11am
Anchor River - 
Rain last night and light this morning didn't do much to the river.  Good Steelhead fishing reports still above the old Sterling Hwy bridge up to about mm. 162.  Good

Thur. Oct. 15th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Water is nice and clear and a little high, many reports of multiple Steelhead days for a few fisherman.  Steelhead fishing is really good right now, and should continue until it's rains.  Good +

Wed. Oct. 14th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Great day on the river with the water dropping to a little high level and is very clear.  Many great reports of Steelhead caught and still remain in the river above the bridge.  Good +

Tue. Oct. 13th - 8am
Anchor River - 
River looks good !  It is still a little high but the water has cleared up nicely.  Steelhead fishing has picked up and have heard some great reports.  Good

Mon. Oct. 12th - 8am
Anchor River - 
The water is clear and dropping a little.  Good reports above the bridge for Steelhead, the Dolly's have been fun upper river.  Not many reports from Deep Creek or Ninilchek.  Good

Sun. Oct. 11th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Steelhead fishing has been hit or miss lately with some good reports from above the bridge.  River still has some color from rain yesterday, but should clear up and drop today.  River is still high.  Good

Sat. Oct. 10th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Slow Steelhead fishing this morning, with clear water. but the Dolly's were HOT!  One Steelhead at the Slide Hole and most reports are upper river.  Rain last night showed up in the river about noon, making the river come up about 2 inches and dirty.  Good

Fri. Oct. 9th - 8am
Anchor River -
 More great conditions with clear water, although it is still a little high, dropping only about an inch.  Few reports of Steelhead caught upper river.  No reports of any Silvers, they have moved on up the river also.  Good

Thur. Oct. 8th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Water has come down just a little and is very clear.  Steelhead fishing has been good, not as hot as it was last year.  Great Dolly Fishing.  Good

Wed. Oct. 7th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Water color is great, but it is still a little high and didn't drop much since yesterday.  Dolly Fishing was hot today, many good reports of Steelhead fishing.  No rain in the forecast should make it good for the next few days.  Good

Tues. Oct. 6th - 8am
Anchor River - 
The river is looking good and still about a foot high, but it is clearing nicely.  A few Steelhead were caught yesterday along with a bunch of Dolly's.  Looks good enough to fish for sure.  Tomorrow should be the best day in a long while. Good

Mon. Oct. 5th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Water has cleared up a lot but still high by at least 1'.  Should see it drop today as it looks like good weather.  It's getting better and may be clear enough to fish tomorrow, but still high water. Poor.

Sun. Oct. 4th - 8am
Anchor River - 
The river is still high and dirty and looks like it dropped about a foot or so.  Few reports of tough fishing and just a few Dolly's caught.  Poor

Sat. Oct. 3rd - 8am
Anchor River - 
More rain has brought the river up a little since yesterday and it is still very brown and dirty.  Poor

Fri. Oct. 2nd - 8am

River has dropped a little but still very dirty, still about one foot high in general. Poor

Anchor River - 
Conditions have improved a little with the water color clearing up quite fast to just cloudy this morning.  Snow in the hills seems to melting slowly, letting it clear up.  Still very high though, even after dropping about a foot yesterday.  Another clear day today can only help.  May be OK by Friday ...?  Poor

Wed. Sept. 30th - 8am
Anchor River -
 Heavy Rain and snow last night has the river still very high and very dirty.  It did drop about a foot since 7pm last night when it seemed to be at it's highest point.  It did look a little clearer and will probably clear up faster than drop, with the 8 inches of snow on the ground up in the hills this morning.  Looking at maybe Fri. or Sat. for good conditions.  Poor.

Tues. Sept. 29th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Super high water this morning and very dirty.  Expect to see good fishing conditions by Thurs. or Fri. if the rain stops. Heavy rain all day today and snow in the hills. Poor.


Mon. Sept. 28th - 8am
Anchor River - 
The river has come up about 8 inches and turned brown.  No good reports from fishing all morning.  Poor.

Sun. Sept. 27th - 8am
Anchor River - 
River still looks great after the little rain last night.  Steelhead fishing has been great with most of the reports from mid river from below the bridge, many fishermen though.  Good.

Sat. Sept. 26th - 8am
Anchor River - 
River is still in great condition. Might be a little low, but as for the year it's about normal.  Steelhead fishing is still great.

Fri. Sept. 25th - 8am
Anchor River -
 Steelhead are in, at least up to the bridge and fishing conditions were perfect today.  River is nice and clear, few leaves starting to accumulate.  Get out and enjoy it before the weather goes to crap.

Thurs. Sept. 24th - 8am
Anchor River -
 Caught a nice fresh Silver yesterday and saw many steelhead caught.  Dolly action continues to be good.

Wed. Sept. 23rd - 8am
Anchor River - 
River looked so good this morning, I didn't want to go to work.  River is much more clear than the last few days and has dropped a little.

Tue. Sept. 22nd - 8am

Great Steelhead fishing this morning, river is clearing up and dropping a little.

Mon. Sept. 21st - 8am
Anchor River - 
Best conditions in many days. River is much clearer today, but still up a little.  Good reports from last night.

Water looking good today. More reports of catching Steelhead and still some Silvers in there.

Anchor River - 
Big improvement in the river conditions this morning, water is still high but clearing. Steelhead season is upon us, go get them!

Anchor River -
 Steelhead fishing has picked up with the river conditions improving.  Silvers still being caught and the Dolly action continues to be good.

 Light misty rain today, river looks good as it has cleared up and dropped a little.

Anchor River - 
Not much rain last night, river looks better and clearing.  Water level is still up a little. 

Tue. Sept. 15th - 8am
Anchor River - 
High and Brown describes the river today.  Slow Steelhead fishing with the high water, slowly dropping and with some clearing around the edges.

Mon. Sept. 14th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Rain has brought the river up a little and is turning brown.  Steelhead fishing has been good and still many Silvers in the river. 

Sun. Sept. 13th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Great river conditions continued today with some nice Steelhead being caught.  Silvers continue to be coming in and still great action.  Dolly's are getting into their spawning colors and still very active up river.

Sat. Sept. 12th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Silvers still hot in lower river with some fresh fish still coming in.  Steelhead fishing continues to improve and we've seen some very nice fish.

Fri. Sept. 11th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Great Steelhead fishing this morning.  We caught 4 Steelhead and 7 Silvers today in about 4 hours. 

Thur. Sept. 10th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Go Get'em Folks !  The river looks great and the Steelhead are in.  Silvers are still coming in! Steely's are in with the silvers in the deep holes and will come in with the tides.

Wed. Sept. 9th - 8am
Anchor River - 
River looks much better today, clearing around the edges.  Still good Silver fishing.  Steelhead are starting to move in, with a few nice reports.

Tues. Sept. 8th - 8am
Anchor River - 
River still has a little color in it with a bit more water.  Silvers were still hot and the Dolly action was still good up river.

Mon. Sept. 7th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Silvers were hot this morning and active up to about 10am.  Dolly action up river was fun with lots of action.  River still a little cloudy, but didn't seem to make a difference.

Sun. Sept. 6th - 8am
Anchor River - 
More rain and fog today, water is still cloudy with the lower river producing the most fish.  Dolly action up river is still good.

Sat. Sept. 5th - 8am
Anchor River - 
River Conditions remain about the same with the water clearing up just a little.

Fri. Sept. 4th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Rivers Conditions are brown and dirty and did come up a little.  Silvers will hit bright patterns.

Thurs. Sept. 3rd - 8am
Anchor River - 
Rain today shouldn't have much effect on the river, it could use some water.  Silvers are stacked in the Lower River and more steelhead have been caught.

Wed. Sept. 2nd - 8am
Anchor River - 
Super high tides today adding to the great Silver fishing, first light was hot ! I expect the rest of the day and next few days is going to great.  Awesome Dolly fishing up river, few Steelhead have been caught.

Great day for fishing, no more bait and no more treble hooks, change out those lures or stop by and we'll help you out.  Great Silver fishing today !!

Anchor River - 
At first light the Silvers were HOT !  As it got brighter it slowed down.  Dolly Action is still good upriver.  River is very low and clear.

Sun. Aug. 30th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Silvers were great at first light then slowed down around 9am.  Dolly action continues to be great up river.

Sat. Aug. 29th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Lots of Silver Action in the early am and a few Steelhead have been caught.

Fri. Aug. 28th - 8am
Anchor River - 
Steelhead have started to show, but in low numbers.  Silver fishing has been good.

Thur. Aug. 27th - 8am
Anchor River - 
River continues to be low and clear.  Fish the tides and in deep dark pools.

Wed. Aug. 26th - 8am

Silver fishing was hot this morning.  Most fish caught on eggs and a few on flies and spinners.

More Silvers are coming in on the high tides, which we have a series of rising tides for a few days.

Anchor River - 
Still many pinks in the river with a few silvers caught this morning and on the tide.  Water remains low and clear.

Sun. Aug. 23rd - 6am
Anchor River - 
Water is low and very clear.  Silvers were active at first light and on the high tide in the morning.  Bright light in mid day slows them down a little.

Silvers were hot at first light then cooled off as it got brighter, with great Dolly fishing throughout the river.

Tue. Aug. 4th - 6am
Anchor River - 
Good Silver fishing in the early morning with many Pinks still in the river.  Dolly fishing is great right now above the bridge.

Mon. Aug. 3rd - 6am
Anchor River - 
Good Dolly Fishing up river and found many Pinks.  Water color has just a tint in it but almost clear and still low.

Sun. Aug. 2nd - 6am
Anchor River - 
Water color a little cloudy and seems to have turned on the Dolly's.  Only a few reports of Silvers caught by the mouth.

Sat. Aug. 1st - 6am
Anchor River - 
Today opens the entire Anchor River and North Fork for fishing, that is above the Old Sterling Bridge.  Many of the big Dolly's have moved up and we should start seeing some Silvers coming in on these high tides.

Fri. July 31st - 6am
Anchor River - 
Nice size Dolly's in the lower river today and a few Pinks, no Silver action yet, after fishing at first light for a few hours.  River Still cloudy and up just a little.

Thur. July 30th - 6am
Anchor River -
 Rain last night has brought the river up a little and has made it muddy.  Use bright colored files in the brown water. 

Wed. July 29th - 6am
Anchor River - 
Rained just a little today, not much affect to the river conditions.  River still in good shape after the little rain we've had. 1st report of a Silver caught on a fly today.

Tue. July 28th - 6am

Still waiting for a sign of the silvers, Dolly's have moved up and should be good this weekend when the upper river opens up.

Dolly fishing has slowed down a little and seem to have move up river.

Little rain last night did nothing to the river and its still in good condition.  Dolly fishing was good this morning with it slowing down as it got brighter.  The was a little action after it got cloudy. Fishing the incoming tide has made a difference.

Conditions are good with low water, but clear.  The best fishing is in lower river for Dolly's and the mouth is stuffed with pinks.

River is clearing up after the rian the last few days, the Dolly fishing has been great !

River is cloudy and has come up very little.  Pinks have moved up and the Dolly fishing is excellent.

Awesome Dolly action on the river today.  Fishing seemed to be best in the early morning and slowed in the bright light in the afternoon.

What a great day on the river, we have found a couple of great Dolly Holes and a few Pinks.

Looks like a great Dolly run with some nice size Dolly's being caught.

Most of the action was caught on flies, not much action on the bead.

River conditions are still good although the river is very low.  With the clear skys fishing slows in the bright light.

Wed. July 15th - 6am

Fishing was great today with some nice size Dolly being caught.  Pinks are still being caught, but seen to be moving up river.

Tues. July 14th - 6am
Anchor River - 
More great action on the river this morning, Dolly's that were bigger than the Pinks !  Water level came up just an inch or two and the color has come back after the rain yesterday. 

Mon. July 13th - 6am
Anchor River - 
Great Dolly fishing this morning with some nice size Dolly's.  No sign of Silvers yet, although Fish and Game saw a few in the net...  Pinks are active and more coming in on the tides.

Sun. July 12th - 6am
Anchor River -
 Early morning bite was great! Using spinners and small spoons were very effective, along with some hot flies.

Sat. July 11th - 6am
Anchor River - 
River is still very low and clear, cloudy days seem fo be better, fishing slowed down as the sun got higher.

Anchor River - 
Lower river has been active with a bunch of Dolly's and Pinks.

Continues to be low and clear, many dolly's in the river and Pinks.

Anchor River - 
Dolly action was very good this morning and into the late evening, with some nice size Dolly's.
Kenai River - 
Showing a good early number of Sockeye in the river, should be good to fish in a day or two.  I like it to be over 15,000 per day and over 100,00 in the river to start fishing.

Many Pinks in the lower river hitting on pink flies and small spoons and spinners.

Mon. July 6th - 5am
Anchor River -
 A lot of fun catching Dolly's today and some nice Pinks to keep us active.

River still low even with the rain. The Dollies are coming in good and plenty of Pinks.

There are a lot of Pink Salmon in the river and have seen some nice size Dolly's.

Anchor River - 
Water conditions are fair with low water, but clear.  Rain has brought up the river a little.  Dolly fishing is off to a good start.

Nice size Dolly's in lower river and the mouth is stuffed with Pinks.

Anchor River - 
Opens at midnight tonight for Dolly Varden and rainbows.  The water has a little color and did come up just a little, but still very low for the year.

Mon. June 29th - 6am

Water has a little color in it but has not come up much.
Kenai River - 
Rainbows were very active floating the upper river, still some reds by the ferry.

Sun. June 28th - 6am
Anchor River - 
Many Kings just above the bridge, no cheating, leave them alone.  You are not fishing Dolly's with a #5 Vibrax...

Sat. June 27th - 6am
Anchor River -
 A little rain gave the river some color but did not come up at all.
Kasilof River - 
Sockeye are still fishing well, the Kings have slowed a little.

Fri. June 26th - 6am
Anchor River - 
Not much change, river conditions look ok and the lower river will soon have Dolly's.

Thur. June 25th - 6am
Anchor River - 
Bunch of Kings under and just above the bridge... wonder why they are there and not up river...?  Same reason that section of the river is closed from the bridge to the weir until July 15th... The Kings are not going past the weir !!!
Kasilof River - 
Check commercial openers and fish when their closed and the numbers are there.

Wed. June 24th - 6am
Anchor River - 
Looking very low, rain wouldn't hurt.
Kasilof River - 
Reports of reds still in good numbers and a few Kings.

Tue. June 23rd - 6am
Anchor River - 
Closed until July 1st, water is very low and clear.
Russian River - 
Sockeye limit has been raised to 6 fish, 12 fish in possession.
Kasilof River - 
Still some nice kings being caught and the sockeye are in full force.

Water is very low and clear.
Russian River - 
Sockeye limit has been raised to 6 fish, 12 fish in possession.
Kasilof River - 
Kings and Sockeye have been very active.

Closed until July 1st. Water low and clear.
Russian River - 
Sockeye are in and fishing is great on the Kenai river just below the Russian River.

Sat. June 20th - 6am
Anchor River - 
A beautiful morning with low but quite perfect fishing conditions.
Russian River - 
Fill your cooler with sockeye, reds are in !

Fri. June 19th - 6am
Anchor River - 
River looks good as we let a great run of Kings head up stream and spawn.
Russian River - 
Upper Kenai is full of  Russian River Reds, the ferry area is open and fishing is good.

Thurs. June 18th - 6am
Anchor River - 
Great river conditions remain, but water is getting lower.
Russian River - 
Sockeye are in !

Weds. June 17th - 6am
Anchor River - 
Last Day !  King Salmon seem to be hiding in the deep holes as the water continues to drop.

Tues. June 16th - 6am
Anchor River - 
Give them Kings one day off before we go at them one last time.  Been a great King run this season and we should see the results in a few years.

Mon. June 15th - 6am
Anchor River - 
Bright light and low water has kept the fish on the move or hiding in the deep dark holes.

Sun. June 14th - 6am
Anchor River - 
Some nice fish caught on the early morning tide at first light, with the bite tailing off in the evening.

Sat. June 13th - 6am

River is in great condition and the King run is much larger that the last few years.

Fri. June 12th - 6am
Anchor River - 
 Opens at midnight for King Salmon, late night tide should make for good fishing after midnight.

River looks great and we get a bonus weekend this year.

River is open as of the emergency order opening the Anchor River for the Sat. June 13thSun. June 14th, Mon. June 15th and Wed. June 17th.

Anchor River - 
River looks good with the water color improving, water has dropped a little and is at about normal level.  Fishing on the Anchor River is closed now until July 1st.  The section above the bridge and below the Anchor River weir is closed until July 15th.

Mon. June 8th - 5:00am
Anchor River - 
Rain in the hills up river has brought the river up a little and is a little dirty, even though we didn't get any rain in town, it's all coming from the drainage way up river.  Nice fish caught this morning and river conditions should improve trough out the day.
Ninilchek River - Good fishing reports from the morning and Sun.  Kasilof River - Kings moving in and the Sockeye are starting to show.

Sun. June 7th - 5am
Anchor River - 
Last night the bite was hot in the lower river and after midnight was good.  The morning bite was On !   Lower river in the grassy hole had some very nice fish caught.  A little dissappointed in the tight short line technique used by many, and seems to be more and more of them every year.  Flossing is not Fly Fishing ! 

Sat. June 6th - 5am
Anchor River - 
River is higher than yesterday with a little color, but not bad!  The bite was hot after midnight and the morning bite at first light was even better.  Lower river is fishing the best and continues up through the Duddes and Picknick holes, as well as the bridge hole, all producing nice size fish.

Fri. June 5th - 6am
Anchor River - 
Well, the earth is getting a good watering today, soaking up all this rain.  The river is still looking good, with a little color and has come up to a good level.

Thurs. June 4th - 6am
Anchor River - 
Rain, Rain, Rain... water is up a little with a little color, might just make for some good conditions for Sat.  Good tides this weekend.

Weds. June 3rd - 6am
Anchor River -
 Little rain has given the river a little tint, but not much effect at all.  Big tides this weekend should improve fishing.

Tues. June 2nd - 6am
Anchor River - 
 River remains low until we get some rain.  Kings moving through in good numbers.

Mon. June 1st - 6am
Anchor River - 
River in great shape, should be less pressure on  the river today.  Many Kings in the river, holding in the deep hles or moving through quickly.

Sun. May 31st - 6am
Anchor River - 
Bright conditions and low water has made the Kings a little spooked, smaller flies may work better, the late evening bite should be good.

Sat. may 30th - 4:30am
Anchor River - 
Early morning bite was active with some nice size Kings being caught and a few Steelhead around to give some action.

Late high tides tonight, so the after midnight bite should be good.  See you out there at midnight.

Looking from the bridge, you can see many kings laying there before they move up.  The weir numbers are still ahead of last year.

River is still low making river bank fishing very accessible, few Steelhead being caught. Not much sign of Kings or Sockeye from the bank.

Tues. May 26th - 6am
Anchor River -  
The river did not rise at all from the rain we had and it's still clear in great condition.  It will be nice for the fish to rest after being hammered all weekend.

Mon. May 25th - 6am
Anchor River - 
Many people are leaving the camping areas making it much more enjoyable, no combat fishing, great reports of kings being caught on flies, bright colors are best.

Sun. May 24th - 6am
Anchor River - 
Still heavy pressure on the river with the big Memorial weekend, with that said there were a number of nice Kings caught today 30 pounds or bigger.  Vibrax and Pixies have been working, single hook, of course. The evening bite slowed down a little, lower grassy hole and lower slidehole still the most active area on the river.

Sat. May 23rd - 6am
Anchor River -  
The river conditions remain perfect and there were a few reports after midnight, with a few Kings caught, The early morning bite was Hot !  Many nice size Kings caught in the lower river, Slidehole area.  The bridge hole was productive as well as the mid river Duddas hole.  The evening bite was a little slower and not quite as active.

Fri. May 22nd - 6am
Anchor River - The river is in perfect condition and midnight should be productive, not a huge tide, but water conditions are great. Junpers in the lower river.

Thurs. May 21st - 6am
Anchor River - Campground is starting to fill up and it looks like we are on for fishing this weekend, no sign of Fish and Game closing the river. Keep our fingers crossed.

Weds. May 20th - 6am
Anchor River - Kings jumping at the Slidehole, 30 mins. after high tide.


 

Tues. May 19th - 6am
Anchor River - 
If we don't get too much rain, conditions should remain good for the weekend.  Kings are moving past the weir in good numbers, which should make for a good weekend.

Mon. May 18th - 6am
Anchor River 
- River looks great !  The Anchor River opens this Sat. May 23rd, Friday at Midnight :01   Stop by he Fly Box Friday night, May 22nd, we will be open until midnight and will be grilling out complimentary burgers, hotdogs, Halibut and Salmon, starting around 6pm.  Join us if you can, bring a dish only if you want, and bring your favorite drink.   Water will be provided.

Anchor River - River level is about normal, maybe a little high, but good fishing conditions. (if it was open) Water has cleared up pretty good.

Sat. May 16th - 6am
Anchor River 
-  The river looks good and did see a few Kings in the lower river.  River is Closed until May 23rd.

Fri. May 15th - 8:00am
Anchor River - River is up and mocha color, not open this weekend as normally it would be.  No Weds. this season and we loose the last weekend as well.  Then the Anchor will be closed until July 15th.

Thurs. May 14th - 8:00am
Anchor River
 - The King Salmon Fishing on the ocean has been good, a few reports of nice Kings being caught.  Calcutta this weekend in Anchor Point.  We have Great Bait !
Kasilof River - Good reports from the Kasilof with some nice Steelhead being caught

Weds. May 13th - 9:00am
Anchor River 
- Little rain has brought the river up a little but remains in good spring condition.
Kasilof River - Low water conditions is making for good early season steelhead fishing and Dolly Fishing.

Tues. May 12th - 9:00am
Anchor River 
- River conditions remain a little high and brown.  The weir is up on the North Fork and still looking for some numbers from the sonar.

Mon. May 11th - 9:00am
Anchor River - Water color is brown but not too high.  Opening Weekend will be May 23rd.
